With the progress of the economy and advancements in science and technology, numerous hospitals have started utilizing surgical robots for medical procedures.
Typically, when employing surgical robots, imaging equipment is also utilized. Traditional imaging equipment has specific requirements for the operating table. For instance, to achieve a clearer perspective effect, a regular metal bed cannot be used.
The operating table I am introducing today differs from what you may have seen before. Unlike a single-column ordinary operating table positioned at the center or eccentrically on the table, this double-column operating table features uprights on both sides. Hence it is referred to as a double-post surgical bed.
Compared to standard operating beds, double-column ones possess several remarkable characteristics:
1. The double-column spine operating table offers an unobstructed and interference-free channel for fluoroscopy during surgery, enabling flexible positioning of imaging equipment near the patient's wound to facilitate multi-plane intraoperative imaging of the spine and pelvis.
2. The width of this type of operating bed is narrower than that of regular ones, allowing medical staff to approach patients more closely and enhancing direct visibility for doctors.
3. When used alongside surgical robots, it provides greater space for perspectives compared to ordinary operating beds.
4. It can be flipped over; after applying anesthesia, the dual-layer board can be rotated 180 degrees to achieve a prone position without requiring manual assistance from medical personnel—thus saving time and manpower.
